We provide parent education and support for families whose children are experiencing a delay (or who may be at risk of experiencing a delay) in any area of development.

What we do:

  • Evaluate the development of your child and his/her needs
  • Identify your family's needs related to your child's development
  • Provide referrals to community supports and services needed by your child and your family
  • Link you to other services in the community to help you meet your family's needs
  • Provide services in your child's natural environment (home or daycare)

Steps

  1. Parent (or interested individual like family member, physician, social worker, child care provider, etc.) completes the intake information
  2. Intake Specialist will contact the parent to confirm information and answer any questions
  3. Child is assigned to a Service Coordinator who will contact the parent to set up the initial evaluation (at the child's home or day care)
  4. Initial evaluation is conducted (no later than 45 days from the date the referral is received by Infants & Toddlers)
  5. If the child is eligible for services, an Individualized Family Service Plan is developed with the family at the end of the evaluation.
  6. If the child is not eligible for services, providers will link parents to other resources in the community.

Our staff consists of physical therapists, occupational therapists, special educators, speech and language pathologists, service coordinators, and fellow parents.
